Bombers Rank Among NCAA Baseball Leaders in 15 Categories

ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Ithaca College baseball team ranked among the national leaders in seven team and eight individual categories, according to final statistics released by the NCAA. As a team, the Bombers ranked fourth among the nation's 364 Division III teams with 2.48 doubles per game. Ithaca also ranked seventh in batters hit by pitch (a school-record total of 82), 16th in ERA (3.02) and fewest hits allowed per nine innings (8.15), 22nd in total doubles (99), 23rd in winning percentage (.738) and 25th in strikeouts per nine innings (7.6).

In individual statistics, sophomore shortstop Tim Locastro ranked fourth nationally in on-base percentage (.554) and 12th in batting average (.444). He was hit by a pitch times (17th nationally); his average of 0.52 per game ranked ninth.

Junior Pat Lemmo ranked 10th in Division III with 10 wins and had the nation's 28th-lowest ERA (1.75).

Senior second baseman Matt Keller rnaked 13th nationally with 0.49 doubles per game. His school-record total of 19 ranked 19th.

The Bombers went 29-10-1, winning the Empire 8 title and reaching the NCAA playoffs.
