TROY, N.Y. – The Ithaca College baseball team saw its 2026 season come to an end on Saturday as RPI took the second game of the Liberty League Crossover Series, 20-13, to earn the sweep. Ithaca finishes up its season with a 20-15 record.
Ithaca led for the entire game until RPI put up 10 runs on the bottom of the eighth inning to flip a 13-10 deficit into a 20-13 advantage. The Bombers were unable to put anything together in the ninth. Throughout the contest, IC held multi-run leads of 5-0, 7-3, 11-6 and 13-10.
Jake Alfano,
Nate Rodriguez and
Ethan Daddabbo all hit home runs for the Bombers. Alfano, Rodriguez,
Ethan Fantel and
Camden Laney each drove in two runs in the loss, while Rodriguez, Daddabbo,
Lucas Orlovitz,
Sheldon Jay Walker III and
Isaiah Smith all scored twice.
IC's pitching staff was unable to shutdown RPI's Michael Lebenson, who went 4-for-6 with two doubles, a home run and nine RBI.
