Ithaca, N.Y. - The Ithaca gymnastics team posted its highest team total of the season Saturday against three upper-division teams at the Big Red Invitational hosted by Cornell at Teagle Hall. The Bombers competed against Division I Cornell, and Division II members West Chester and Southern Connecticut. Ithaca scored 187.250, which was three full points higher than the team's previous best mark this season. The Bombers defeated West Chester (185.150) and were outscored by Cornell (189.525) and Southern Connecticut (190.050).
It was a record-setting day on floor exercise for Ithaca, as the Bombers placed all five scoring lineup-members in the top 10 of the event rankings and totaled 48.125 on the event. That was just five one-hundredths of a point short of the program's all-time highest floor exercise team score of 48.175, set in 2002 at Springfield.

Jessica Bolduc placed first on floor exercise with a score of 9.875, the highest score in Ithaca history. She was followed by senior
Kay Gordon in second (9.775), sophomore
Meredith Daniels in fourth (9.625), senior
Lauren Moroch in eighth (9.450) and freshman
Valerie Cohen in ninth (9.400). Those scores were career-bests on floor for all five gymnasts.
Bolduc also placed third on uneven bars with a score of 9.650 and ninth on balance beam with a score of 9.350. Her all-around total of 38.025 was a season-best and bettered the only other all-around competitor in the Big Red Invitational.
Other top-10 finishes for Ithaca were turned in by sophomore
Shilanna Gallo in eighth on vault (9.475), junior
Chelsea Robie in eighth on bars (9.375) and senior
Kimberly Callahan in 10th on balance beam (9.325).
The Bombers (5-4) host the Harriet Marranca Memorial Invitational on Saturday at Ben Light Gymnasium. The meet begins at 1 p.m. and the other participating teams include Cortland, Wilson and Rhode Island College.
