ITHACA, N.Y. -- Geneseo (12-4) scored twice in the first seven minutes of play and went on to a 5-1 win over Ithaca (7-10) in a field hockey game played Wednesday afternoon at Higgins Stadium in Ithaca. The visiting Blue Knights built a 5-0 lead, but the Bombers got on the board in the final minute of play. Ithaca has been shut out just four times in 17 games this season.
Ithaca's goal came in the 70th minute off of a penalty corner. After the ball was inserted by

Andrea Pace took a shot from the top of the arc, and
Katelyn Gualtieri tipped the ball into the net. It was the third goal of the season for Gualtieri and the ninth assist of the year for Pace.
Senior goalkeeper
Kelly Singleton took the loss for the Bombers, she played the first half and made five saves.
Samantha Grassi made one save in the second half for the Bombers. Ithaca will conclude its regular season Saturday at 1 p.m. against Houghton at Higgins Stadium. Ithaca's four seniors will be honored prior to the start of the game.
