ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Ithaca field hockey team (6-9, 2-4 Empire 8) dropped a 3-0 game Wednesday afternoon at Higgins Stadium against Utica (10-4, 3-3 Empire 8) in a league game. The Pioneers scored twice in the first half and added another goal in the final minute of the second half.
The Bombers recorded two defensive saves in the game, both during the second half. The first was made by junior back
Andrea Pace and the second was made by junior defenser
Emily Lash. Ithaca held an 8-7 advantage in penalty corners and Utica led in shots by a 16-13 total.

The Bombers return to action Saturday with a 1 p.m. game at Elmira.
