Brockport, N.Y. – The Ithaca gymnastics team opened its season by dropping a 185.00-182.375 dual meet at Brockport. Senior
Jessica Bolduc (Darien/Darien, Conn.) placed first on vault and senior
Kimberly Callahan (Rockland/Rockland, Mass.) tied for first on balance beam to lead Ithaca's efforts.
Bolduc's score of 9.65 on vault was .075 higher than any other competitor, the biggest margin of victory in any individual event during the meet.
Bolduc also scored 38.025 in the all-around, which bettered the total of Brockport's Elizabeth Levy (37.225).
Bolduc placed second on the floor exercise with a score of 9.55 and second on uneven bars with a score of 9.45.
Callahan's first-place finish on balance beam was on a score of 9.55, her first win on that event since placing first three times on beam as a sophomore. Senior
Kay Gordon (Summit/Breckenridge, Colo.) was third on beam with a score of 9.5.
Ithaca returns to action Jan. 22 at Ursinus, in a tri-meet along with Temple.
