ITHACA, N.Y. –Senior Blaine Woszczak (Wall/Manasquan, N.J.) became the program's career leader in wins to highlight a lopsided 29-5 win for the #4 Bombers (13-2) over #13 Wilkes (15-9-1) Friday at Ben Light Gymnasium. Ithaca won the first eight bouts and picked up bonus points in three of their nine victories.

The milestone for Woszczak (who's ranked second nationally), came via a 19-3 technical fall. He raised his career record to 130-33, passing Bob Panariello (129-15 from 1982 to 1987). Woszczak is now 28-2 on the season and undefeated (13-0) in dual matches. The technical fall was his third of the year and the 17th of his career.

Competing for the first time as the nation's top-ranked wrestler, junior Derek Brenon (Immaculate Heart/Watertown) rallied for a 7-5 win in double overtime. Brenon trailed 5-3 late in the third period; he tied the score with a point awarded for an illegal maneuver and a point for his riding-time advantage. Brenon won the match 2:31 into overtime with a takedown. He's now 20-1 this winter and 39-7 in his career.

Junior Jeremy Stierly (Owen J. Roberts/Pottstown, Pa.), Ithaca's other second-ranked wrestler, remained unbeaten in dual matches with an 8-1 win at 141 pounds. Stierly, the 2010 NCAA runner-up, is now 15-1 on the season and 72-16 in his career.

Junior Max Cohen (Williamsville East/East Amherst) opened the match with a 14-7 win at 125. Cohen improved to 15-6 on the season (6-1 in dual matches) and evened his career record at 21-21.

Junior Seth Ecker (Pottstown/Pottstown, Pa.), ranked third nationally at 133, picked up his 16th career technical fall with a 16-1 victory. Ecker is now 24-3 on the season (with a 13-2 mark in dual matches) and 70-15 overall as a Bomber. The technical fall was his team-best fifth of the year.

Nick Sanko (Hamburg Area/Lenhartsville, Pa.), one of five Bomber seniors who were recognized at their last regular-season home competition, won Ithaca's sixth consecutive bout, posting a 6-0 win at 165. Sanko raised his season record to 13-5 and his career mark to 32-17.

Senior David Priest (Wyomissing Area/Douglassville, Pa.), ranked ninth at 174 pounds, posted a 12-3 major decision to clinch Ithaca's win. He's now 20-3 (13-2 in dual matches) with a team-best eight major decisions. With a career record of 96-29, Priest is four victories away from becoming the 17th Bomber to reach 100 career wins.

At 184 pounds, junior Keith Dickey (Cedar Cliff) picked up Ithaca's second shutout, blanking his opponent 6-0. Dickey evened his season record at 8-8. He's 6-4 in dual matches.

The Bombers evened the all-time series against Wilkes at 20-20; Ithaca has won 11 of the 12 meetings since the Colonels resumed wrestling at the Division III level.

The Bombers wrap up their regular season with a match at #20 Cortland Wednesday.
