Biography

2009-10: Priest recorded his third straight 20-win season and posted career-high totals in pins (eight) and major decisions (four). He earned a pair of tournament titles, winning the season-opening Ithaca Invitational and placing first at York’s Spartan Classic (helping Ithaca win team titles at both events). Priest earned all-state recognition with a fourth-place finish at the New York State Championships.


2008-09: Priest made his second straight trip to the NCAA Championships after winning the ECWC title. He was Ithaca’s top performer at the Sunshine Open, claiming an individual championship, and opened the season by placing third at the Ithaca Invitational. Priest ranked second on the team with 27 victories and recorded an undefeated season (10-0) in dual meets.

2007-08: Priest was named ECWC Rookie of the Year after placing second at the conference championships and earning a wild-card selection to the NCAA Championships. He won his opening bout at nationals, knocking off the tournament’s number-two seed. Priest was the runner-up at the Ithaca and Williamstown Invitationals and placed fifth at the state championship meet. He was named ECWC Rookie of the Week three times.

High School: A 2007 graduate of Wyomissing High School, Priest was coached by Frank Ferrandino at Reading Central Catholic. He placed sixth in the state as a junior and was a state qualifier as a senior. Priest earned all-division honors four times and was a two-time pick to the all-Berks County team.

Personal: A business and finance major, he is the son of Dave and Linda Priest.
