Oneonta, N.Y. – The Ithaca wrestling team (18-1) extended its school record by winning its 18th match of the season in Wednesday's 42-3 romp at Oneonta (9-7). The Bombers earned bonus points in seven of their nine victories. Only one Division III team has won more dual matches this winter.

Three nationally ranked Bombers recorded wins, starting with senior Jon Gregory (Phillipsburg/Phillipsburg, N.J.), who's ranked fourth at 125 pounds. Gregory recorded his fifth technical fall of the year to raise his season record to 19-2. He's 74-31 in his career.

Wrestling at 141 pounds, sophomore Jeremy Stierly (Owen J. Roberts/Pottstown, Pa.) is now 26-4 this season and 45-14 overall as a Bomber after winning by technical fall. Stierly is ranked seventh nationally.

Junior Blaine Woszczak (Wall/Manasquan, N.J.), the nation's top-ranked wrestler at 174 pounds, raised his record to 30-5 with his team-best 11th major decision of the season. Woszczak is 94-30 in his career and ranks 20th on Ithaca's all-time wins list.

Sophomore heavyweight Matt Mahon (Brighton/Rochester) picked up his 12th pin of the season and the 21st of his career. Mahon, who is 22-7 this winter (10-1 in dual matches) and 41-15 in his career, ranks 15th on Ithaca's all-time pins list after just 56 bouts.

Senior John Dale (North Penn/Lansdale, Pa.), wrestling at 165 pounds, improved to 14-11 this year and 48-38 in his career with his third pin of the season (and the 10th of his career).

Sophomore Seth Ecker (Pottstown/Pottstown, Pa.) remained unbeaten in dual matches with a pin at 133 pounds. Ecker is 19-5 overall this year and 10-0 against dual-match opponents. His career record stands at 49-13 with 13 pins.

At 197 pounds, senior Dave Sbriscia (Warren Hills/Stewartsville, N.J.), who's now 11-4 this year and 63-35 in his career, won by major decision.

Senior Willie Horwath (Liberty/Bethlehem, Pa.) and freshman Joe Beach (South Jefferson/Adams) rounded out Ithaca's winners, posting decisions at 157 and 174 pounds, respectively. Horwath is 22-6 this season (10-1 in dual matches) and 113-40 as a Bomber. Beach's win was his fourth of the year.

The Bombers travel to #15 Wilkes (21-5) Friday in a match-up of the two winningest teams in Division III wrestling.
