Ithaca, N.Y. – The #6 Ithaca gymnastics team (3-8) scored 182.750 in a five-team competition at Cornell Saturday afternoon. The four other teams, all of which compete in Division I and Division II, outscored Ithaca. The Bombers totaled a season-best 46.525 in the vault rotation. The other competing teams included Bridgeport (190.550), Cornell (190.200), Towson (188.900) and Southern Connecticut (185.850).

Ithaca posted its season-best total on vault and two individuals finished among the top-10 overall. Sophomore Jessica Bolduc (Darien/Darien, Conn.) scored 9.500 to place sixth and senior Rachel Taylor (San Pasqual/Escondido, Calif.) was 10th. Other top-10 finishers included senior Brianne Sullivan (Schuylerville/Gansevoort) who placed sixth overall on balance beam with a career-best score of 9.600 and freshman Katie Sampson (Erindale Secondary/Mississauga, Ontario) who placed ninth on floor exercise with a total of 9.425.

Bolduc and sophomore Kay Gordon (Summit/Breckenridge, Colo.) were Ithaca's competitors in all-around. Bolduc totaled 36.475 to finish sixth and Gordon scored 36.050 to place seventh.

Ithaca returns home to the Hill Center Gymnasium next Saturday when the Bombers host the Harriet Marranca Memorial Invitational. The other participating teams include Wilson, Brockport and Cortland.
