Brockport Outscores Ithaca in Season-Opening Meet

Jessica Bolduc placed first on uneven bars

Brockport, N.Y. – Brockport (2-0) defeated the Ithaca (0-1) gymnastics team 183.775-177.175 in the Bombers' season-opening dual meet Saturday at Brockport. Ithaca sophomore Jessica Bolduc (Darien/Darien, Conn.) placed second in all-around with a score of 36.625 and was the Bombers' top finisher in three of the four events.

Bolduc tied for first on the uneven parallel bars with a score of 9.200 and was third on vault (9.475) and floor exercise (9.350). She also placed ninth on the balance beam (8.6).

Sophomore Kay Gordon (Summit/Breckenridge, Colo.) was Ithaca's highest scorer on the beam with a third-place score of 9.150. She also competed in all-around, scoring 35.100.

The Bombers return to action Saturday at the Hill Center when Ithaca hosts Rhode Island College.
