ITHACA, N.Y. – The #7 wrestling team (13-1) beat Wilkes 29-10 Saturday. This is the second time the Bombers have defeated Wilkes in a dual meet this season, and the fourth straight win over the Colonels.

At 133 pounds, junior Chad Winowich (Abington Heights/Clarks Summit, Pa.) won by decision. Senior John Paxos (Roxbury/Succasunna N.J.) won the 141 pound bout by major decision with an 8-0 victory.

Junior Willie Horwath (Liberty/Bethlehem, Pa.) won his team-best 29th match, winning by major decision. Horwath is ranked ninth nationally at 157 pounds. At 165, senior Scott Edwards (Liberty/Bethlehem, Pa.) won by decision.

Sophomore David Priest (Wyomissing/Douglassville, Pa.) improved to 8-0 in dual matches. Ranked sixth nationally at 174 pounds, Priest won the bout by decision.

Heavyweight junior Joe Goetz (Sewanhaka/New Hyde Park) scored the only pin of the meet. Goetz recorded the fall in 1:14.

Freshman Seth Ecker (Pottstown/Pottstown, Pa.) won the opening bout at 125 by forfeit.

The Bombers have their final dual meet of the season at #29 Cortland at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
