Women's Basketball Routs Hartwick 70-49

Riley Dunn's 10 points were a career high.

ITHACA, N.Y. -- The women's basketball team defeated Hartwick (9-11, 4-7 E8) 70-49 on Friday at the Ben Light Gymnasium. The Bombers (13-7, 9-2 E8) have now defeated the Hawks five straight times. Freshman guard Riley Dunn (Central Catholic/Bradford, Mass.) scored a career-high 10 points in just twelve minutes of play. Dunn also tied a career-best in rebounds with three.

The Hawks trailed 24-21 with 4:24 remaining in the first half. Junior guard Lindsay Brown (Immaculate/Danbury, Conn.) connected on a three-point field-goal on the next possesion to fuel a 16-2 Ithaca run to close out the half. The Bombers connected on four three-pointers during that stretch and went into the locker room with a 40-23 lead. 

Junior guard Katherine Bixby (Germantown Friends/Philadelphia, Pa.) hit two three-pointers dring the 16-2 run to close the first-half. Bixby finished with eight points, four rebounds, and four assists.

Senior forward Tracy Bradley (Lewiston/Brunswick, Maine) reached double-figures in scoring (11) and collected a game-high eight rebounds. Bradley connected on 5-of-10 field-goals to keep her field-goal percentage on the season at an even 50% (101-202).

Four Bombers (Dunn, Bixby, Brown, Rumschik) all made two three-point field-goals in the win. The Bombers shot 8-of-14 from beyond the arc.

Sophomore forward Elissa Klie (Ramapo/Wyckoff, N.J.) tallied nine points and collected six rebounds. Senior guard Megan Rumschik (Williamsville East/East Amherst) followed her season-high 14 point effort against St. John Fisher with eight points and four rebounds in tonight's contest.

The Bombers contine Empire 8 play at the Ben Light Gymnasium on Sunday for noon tip-off against Alfred.
