Biography

 
2008-09: Brown received honorable mention recognition to the Empire 8 all-star team in her first season as a starter for the Bombers. She ranked among the conference leaders in steals (10th) and three-point field-goals (15th). Brown reached double figures in scoring 14 times and averaged 9.4 points per game for the season. Her team-best total of 32 three-point field-goals raised her career total to 79, which ranks eighth on the program’s all-time list. Brown added at least three steals in nine games and averaged nearly two per game. She was named to the All-Tournament Team of the Oswego Tip-Off Tournament following performances of 20 and 14 points in the team’s wins over Bridgewater State and Oswego, respectively.

2008-09 Game-by Game Statistics

2007-08: Brown was one of the Empire 8’s top newcomers and the league’s leading bench scorer, ranking 16th in the conference despite starting only twice. She was named Empire 8 Player of the Week after coming off the bench to score a career-best 23 points against RIT in just 25 minutes. Brown made a school-record seven three-point baskets in that game and her season total of 47 three-pointers is Ithaca’s seventh-best figure. She recorded 14 double-digit scoring games – all off the bench – including a team-best 18 against Utica in the Empire 8 playoffs. Brown ranked in the conference’s top 10 in three-point baskets made (sixth) and three-point accuracy (10th).

2006-07: Brown played at Manhattan College, where she appeared in 12 games for the Division I Jaspers. She made one start and collected 14 points and 12 rebounds. She made four three-point baskets.

Career Statistics

High School: A 2006 graduate of Immaculate High School, Brown was coached by Joe Brady. An four-time Danbury News all-area selection, she was named team MVP as a senior. Brown scored 1,176 points in her scholastic career and was a first-team all-state pick as a senior. She also lettered in soccer, winning three state championships and earning MVP of the state title game as a junior.

Personal: A clinical science/occupational therapy major, she is the daughter of David and Nancy Brown.
