Rochester, N.Y. – The Ithaca wrestling team remained unbeaten, improving to 6-0 with a 37-9 win at Empire Collegiate Wrestling Conference (ECWC) rival Rochester Institute of Technology (0-3). The Bombers earned bonus points in all but one of their winning bouts.

Nationally ranked seniors Jon Gregory (Phillipsburg/Phillipsburg, N.J.) and Chad Winowich (Abington Heights/Clarks Summit, Pa.) picked up two of Ithaca's four pins. Gregory, ranked fourth at 125 pounds remained unbeaten on the season (11-0 overall, 7-0 in dual meets) with his second fall of the year. He's now 66-29 in his career.

Winowich, who's ranked second at 133 pounds, raised his season mark to 14-3 and his career record to 81-35. His pin was his third of the season.

Sophomore heavyweight Matt Mahon (Brighton/Rochester) recorded his team-leading seventh pin, stopping his opponent just 50 seconds into the match. Mahon is unbeaten in dual-meet competition (5-0) and 13-4 overall. His two-year Bomber record stands at 32-12.

Freshman Evan Connors (Phillips Exeter Academy [N.H./Lowell/North Weymouth, Mass.) collected his second pin of the year to win at 149 pounds. Connors is now 11-7 this year and a perfect 3-0 in dual matches.

Junior Jeremy Stierly (Owen J. Roberts/Pottstown, Pa.) , ranked third nationally at 141 pounds, won by a 13-2 count for his team-best fifth major decision. Stierly is 13-2 on the season (4-1 in dual matches) and 36-12 in his career.

Senior Dave Sbriscia (Warren Hills/Stewartsville, N.J.) was a 13-7 winner at 197 pounds in his first bout of the season. He's now 54-31 in his career. Senior John Dale (North Penn/Lansdale, Pa.) won by forfeit at 165 pounds.

The Bombers continue dual-match competition Saturday, hosting Oswego at 1 p.m.
