Williamsport, Pa. -- The eighth-ranked wrestling team (10-1) lost 23-15 to #5 Wisconsin-Whitewater in the championship match of Lycoming's Budd Whitehill National Duals. Ithaca was the second seed in the 20-team field (which featured nine nationally ranked teams) and the Warhawks were the top seed.

Two Bombers went 5-0 in the weekend tournament and maintained undefeated records in dual-match competition. Sophomore Blaine Woszczak (Wall/Manasquan, N.J.), a winner by fall at 149 pounds, collected two technical falls and a pin in his five bouts to raise his season record to 21-4 and his career mark to 3-18. Junior Willie Horwath (Liberty/Bethlehem, Pa.) posted a 6-4 decision; he's now 22-3 this winter and 77-25 as a Bomber. Both Woszczak and Horwath are ranked eighth nationally.

Sophomore #David Priest# (Wyomissing/Douglassville, Pa.) finished a 3-0 week at 174 pounds (two of Ithaca's opponents forfeited that weight class) with an 8- decision . He improved to 16-3 on the season (with a 6-0 record in dual matches) and 42-17 in his career.

Junior Chad Winowich (Abington Heights/Clarks Summit, Pa.) rounded out Ithaca's winners, recording a 10-4 decision at 133. He's 12-3 on the season and 57-27 overall.

Three of Wisconsin-Whitewater's six winners are nationally ranked, including the nation's top-ranked wrestler at 141 pounds.

Ithaca returns to action Saturday and Sunday, traveling to Oswego for the New York State Collegiate Championships. The two-day meet features Division I, II and III competition,
