Rochester, N.Y.—
Ithaca (17-18) ended its first day at the New York State Regional Challenge with a loss to host Rochester Institute of Technology (17-21). The Bombers fell 25-15, 26-24, 25-19.
Freshman
Kate Thoene (Voorhees/High Bridge, N.J.) led the Bombers with a .333 attack percentage and nine kills. Fellow freshman
Chelsea Hayes (Central Valley Regional/Haworth, N.J.) was second with eight.
Sophomore
Tina Orlandini (Flintridge Sacred Heart/Altadena, Calif.) led the Bombers with 13 digs. Junior
Corinna Doctor (Skaneateles/Skaneateles) had a team-leading 28 assists.
The Bombers resume play in the New York State Regional Challenge tomorrow at 10 a.m. against Nazareth. They will then take on Brockport at 12:30 p.m.
