Rochester, N.Y.—Ithaca opened the New York State Regional Challenge with a loss to New York University. The Bombers (17-17) were swept by the Violets 25-17, 25-20, 25-15. NYU has won both meeting between the two schools this year.
Freshman
Chelsea Hayes (Northern Valley Regional/Haworth, N.J.) led the Bomber attack with seven kills against just two errors. Junior
Rachel Busch (Hoover/North Canton, Ohio) added six kills.
Defensively, sophomore
