ITHACA, N.Y.—Ithaca dropped its final Empire 8 match of the season, falling to Stevens Institute of Technology 25-8, 25-13, 25-19. The Bombers finish the season in fifth-place in the Empire 8, with the Ducks taking the regular season title for the second straight year. Sunday's match was the final home contest for Ithaca.

Junior Jen Heberton (Darien/Darien, Conn.) led Ithaca with six kills. She also ranked second to sophomore Taylor Horton (Lakeridge/Lake Oswego, Ore.) with five digs. Horton recorded six digs to go with her team-best three service aces.

Junior setter Corinna Doctor (Skaneateles/Skaneateles) assisted on 14 of the Bombers' 19 kills.

Ithaca travels to Rochester Institute of Technology Saturday to participate in the New York State Regional Challenge. The Bombers play the first of four weekend matches against New York University at 2:30 p.m.
