ITHACA, N.Y. – The Bombers (10-1-2, 6-0-0 Empire 8) defeated the Cardinals (5-9-1, 3-4-0 Empire 8) by a score of 4-0 on Wednesday at Carp Wood Field. The win improved Ithaca's Empire 8 unbeaten streak to 39 games and was its fifth straight shutout of a conference opponent.

Junior forward Amy Scheffer (Schenectady/Schalmont) led the Bomber offense with two goals. She opened the scoring by finding the back of the net in the 12th minute and added her ninth goal of the year in the final minute. Her 22 points ranks third on the team.

Senior midfielder Chelsea Stouffer (Wheatland-Chili/Scottsville) made her third start and recorded her second goal of the season in the 25th minute to give Ithaca a 2-0 lead before the first half ended.

Senior forward Chelsey Feldman (Lynbrook/Hewlett) scored her 12th goal of the season to lead all Bombers. She scored on her sixth shot on goal after being stopped on her five previous shots.

Freshman defender Marla Schilling (Canton/Canton, Conn.) recorded her first assist as a Bomber on Scheffer's first goal and senior midfielder Shannon Ruegger (Metuchen/Metuchen, N.J.) tallied a career-best two assists. She set up the goal by Feldman and the second by Scheffer.

Sophomore goalie Alyssa Sotomayor (East Brunswick/East Brunswick, N.J.) played all 90 minutes and made one save in her sixth shutout of the season.
