2008:
Scheffer established herself as one of Division III’s top players, earning third-team all-America honors. She was named a first-team Northeast Region and Empire 8 all-star. Her nine assists matched the program’s fourth-highest single-season total and her 33 points rank 10th on Ithaca’s all-time list. Scheffer was named MVP of the Empire 8 Championship Tournament after scoring seven points in Ithaca’s two wins. She scored a pair of goals in the semifinal win over Stevens and set a school postseason record with three assists in the title win over Nazareth. Scheffer assisted on both goals in Ithaca’s NCAA playoff win against Roger Williams. She posted a nine-game scoring streak (earning Empire 8 Player of the Week honors twice in that span), punctuating the stretch with a goal and two assists in the Alfred win. She set a Bomber record with seven game-winning goals, including the game-winner at Stevens (snapping the Ducks’ 44-game home winning streak).

2007: Scheffer earned first-team all-state and all-conference recognition. Her eight assists led the team and Empire 8 and matched the program’s fourth-highest single-season total. She ranked sixth in the Empire 8 in scoring. She scored a career-high three points in the win over Geneseo and topped that total with her first career-two-goal game as Ithaca beat St. John Fisher. Scheffer assisted on four of the Bombers’ five goals in the Empire 8 playoffs and scored the game’s only goal to beat seventh-ranked Wheaton. She also collected game-winning goals against Hartwick, St. Lawrence and St. John Fisher.

2006: Scheffer was Ithaca’s top-scoring newcomer, collecting three goals. She collected her first career goal in the win at Hartwick and added goals against St. Lawrence and against Messiah in the NCAA playoffs.

High School: A 2006 graduate of Schalmont High School, Scheffer was a first-team all-state pick. She shared Section II Player of the Year honors and was a four-time all-league selection. A three-time Section III all-star, she was team captain and MVP as a senior.

Personal: An accounting major, she is the daughter of Bill and Eileen Scheffer.
