Thomas Bergerstock# (Webster Thomas/Webster) ran for 196 yards and four touchdowns as the #23 Bombers (5-1) posted a 51-24 win over visiting Frostburg State (2-4) in a non-league game.
Bergerstock raised his season figures to 890 yards and 11 touchdowns through six games; he's already recorded the program's 10th-highest single-season yardage total. He scored on three straight Bomber dives as Ithaca erased a 7-0 deficit to take control.
The Bombers opened up leads of 28-7 and 37-17; Frostburg State scored four plays into the first quarter to close to within 37-24, but after the Bobcats went three-and-out on their next drive, Ithaca senior #
Jason Chier# (Chenango Forks/Binghamton) returned their punt 61 yards for a touchdown.
Ithaca ran for a season-best 272 yards; the Bombers' 37:09 time of possession was also a season-high mark.
