Northfield, Vt. -- The Ithaca College football team improved to 4-1 on the season after defeating Empire 8 opponent Norwich (2-4, 0-2 E8), 41-6. The Bombers victory over Norwich was the team's fifth straight in as many years against the Cadets.
Sophomore running back
Dan Ruggiero (Pen Argyl/Pen Argyl, Pa.) led the Bombers in rushing with 101 yards.
Ruggiero reached the endzone twice in the contest which marked his first and second touchdowns of the season.
Senior quarterback
Dan Juvan (Dobbs Ferry/Dobbs Ferry) completed 19-of-30 passing attempts to throw for 227 yards and two touchdowns. Juvan's longest completion of the day found senior wide receiver
Kyle Crandall (Herkimer/Herkimer) for a 63-yard touchdown.
The Bombers defense stymied the Cadets' offense to only eight first downs in the contest. The defense held Norwich to 140 yards of total offense. Freshman linebacker
Ryan Clarke (Archbishop Spaulding/West Friendship, Md) led the defense in tackles with a career-high of 12.
Clarke recorded just nine tackles prior to today's game. Junior safety
Roniel Bencosme (Sleepy Hollow/Sleepy Hollow) intercepted two passes.
The Bombers return to Butterfield Stadium for a three-game homestand next Saturday for a non-conference game against Frostburg State at 1 p.m.
