CORTLAND, N.Y. – Ithaca (1-5) rallied from a 16-point halftime deficit to pull within two points of Cortland (6-1) with 22 seconds to play, but the Red Dragons held on for a 61-56 victory. Senior
Erin Sanvidge (Catholic Central/Troy) tied a career high with 16 points.
The Bombers trailed by as many as 19 points in the first half, with the Red Dragons holding a 42-26 halftime advantage. Ithaca clawed back into the game in the second half by holding Cortland to just two points in the first eight minutes of the period. The Bombers cut the lead to two points three times in the last two minutes of the contest, but could get no closer.

Sue Kelly (Bethlehem Center/Delmar), who scored 15 points to go along with a team-high seven rebounds and four assists. Freshmen
Katherine Bixby (Germantown Friends/Philadelphia, Pa.) and
Jeanine Burke (Bridgewater-Raritan/Raritan, N.J.) each added ten points. Senior
Molly Friel (North Allegheny/Pittsburgh, Pa.) recorded a career-high five steals for the Bombers.
Ithaca is back in action Friday at St. Lawrence for a 6 p.m. game.
