Women's Tennis Defeats William Smith

ITHACA, N.Y. - The Bombers improved to 4-2 with an 8-1 victory over William Smith.
 
In a rematch of this weekend’s ITA quarterfinals, freshman Caitlin Castle (Communication Arts/San Antonio, Texas) defeated William Smith’s Chelsea Rauck in three sets, avenging her lone singles loss of the season. Castle improved to 9-1 on the season in singles play and 15-3 overall.
 
Sophomore Rachel Gunderson (Maple Grove/Bemus Point) recorded her first singles victory of the season, winning in straight sets at sixth singles. Gunderson has a career singles record of 7-2.
The Bombers travel to Hartwick Thursday at 4 p.m.
