Biography
2005-06: Castle was named the Empire 8 Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year after posting an overall record of 29-5 in the fall. She was 15-2 at first singles and a 14-3 at first doubles in earning first-team all-conference honors in singles and doubles. Castle went 4-0 in Empire 8 tournament play, posting doubles wins over Utica, St. John Fisher and Nazareth. She was seeded fourth in the singles bracket at the ITA championship, posting three wins to advance to the quarterfinals. Castle was also seeded fourth in the first singles bracket at the NYSWCAA Championships, where she won two matches to advance to the semifinals, and was seeded second at first doubles, where she advanced to the championship match and recorded her 25th career win. Castle was named the Empire 8 Player of the Week on four occasions.
High School: A 2005 graduate of Communication Arts High School, Castle was coached by Ralph Granger. She was MVP of district, 5A district team member and three-time recipient of the Zone Team Championship Sportsmanship award.
Personal: A integrated marketing communications major, she is the daughter of James and Suzanne Castle.
