Auburn, N.Y. -- The Bombers routed  second-seeded Skidmore 16-2 in their second game to advance to face Cortland in a winners' bracket game.

A three-run third and a six-run fourth inning broke open the second-round game with Skidmore. The Bombers finished with 13 hits and took  advantage of five Skidmore walks and four errors. Junior third baseman Bryan Stamboly (Thomas R. Proctor/New Hartford) went three-for-five and scored three runs. Sophomore center fielder Eric Maya (Rome Free Academy/Rome) doubled twice and drove in three runs.  O’Boyle added two hits and two runs scored and freshman Josh Smith (Pulaski/Pulaski) homered. Senior outfielder Ben McBride (Ridgefield/Ridgefield, Conn.) scored two runs
and drove in two others. Senior Tom O’Connor (Weedsport/Weedsport) earned his 23rd career win – sixth on the program’s all-time list – with six innings of three-hit pitching.
