Canton, N.Y. -- The Bombers swept host St. Lawrence, winning 14-9 and 16-7.

Junior Kyle Rutherford (New Milford/New Milford) led Ithaca with a career-high five hits in the opener, including a school-record four doubles. Senior second baseman Marty O’Boyle (Verona/Verona, N.J.) added four hits, two RBI’s and two runs scored. Freshman catcher Rob Raux (Frankfort/Ilion) hit his fourth home run and drove in five runs. Senior outfielder Ben McBride (Ridgefield/Ridgefield, Conn.) contributed three hits and three runs scored. Sophomore Matt Dorn (Ithaca/Ithaca) earned the win with 2.2 innings of one-hit relief.

In the nightcap, an 11-run second inning put the game away early. O’Boyle extended his hitting streak to 18 games with a three-run home run. He also scored three runs. McBride collected three hits, two runs scored and two RBI’s. Raux doubled twice, drove in three runs and scored two more. Sophomore outfielder Eric Maya (Rome Free Academy/Rome) and senior catcher Brett Gryska (Horseheads/Elmira Heights) each finished with two hits and two runs scored. Sophomore Matt Lavoie (Moses Brown/Providence, R.I.) earned the win.
