MT. MORRIS, N.Y. – The 21st-ranked Ithaca College women's cross country team raced to a seventh-place finish out of 18 teams Saturday at the 33rd-Annual Geneseo Invitational hosted at Letchworth State Park. Five of the Bombers' top seven ran to season-best times on the six-kilometer course.
Junior
Alexa Rick paced Ithaca with a 17th-place finish out of 268 runners in a season-best 22:45.70. Graduate student
Jenn Randall crossed the finish line 41st in 23:25.20.
Ithaca's next four, all securing season-best 6K times, finished within six seconds of each other. Juniors
Hannah Wright and
Emily Smith clocked back-to-back finishes of 23:31.60 and 23:32.70 to place 46th and 47th, respectively. Sophomores
Jaime Lisack and
Rachelle Sartori earned finishes of 50th and 53rd with times of 23:35.80 and 23:37.20.
Rounding out Ithaca's top seven was junior captain
Meghan Cass. She placed 58th with a 23:45.20 finish.
The Bombers will return to the course Saturday, Oct. 12 at the Hamilton Invitational.
