2/18/2026 10:20:00 PM

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The nationally ranked No. 22 Ithaca College men's wrestling team defeated the St. John Fisher Cardinals in a SUNYAC matchup Wednesday, with a team score of 29-12. With the win, the Bombers finish off the 2025-26 dual season with a 13-6 record.

In the first matchup of the evening Drew Aparo fell to Daniel Visha in a 11-4. Then in the 133 between Jay McDonnell and Derek Bernadino, the first point was not scored until Barnadino earned an escape midway through the second frame. McDonnell then tied it with an escape of his own in the waning seconds of the third period to force overtime, where he would win with a takedown 4-1, to tie the team score 3-3.

Isaias Torres then took on Luke Yorke in the 141 bout, which started off fast as Torres earned a takedown just over a minute into the match, with Yorke fighting back with an escape of his own to make it 3-1. Torres finished off the dual with another takedown plus an escape to earn a decision 7-2, giving the Bombers a 6-3 team lead.

At 149, the first frame was contested to a stalemate, but in the second period Brandon Ribeiro suffered a takedown and was then pinned at 4:08. In the next match Akio Sanders earned an early lead with takedown but then fell to a couple of takedowns in the second and third frame for a 9-4 decision, putting the Cardinals ahead 12-6. It was all Ithaca from that point forward.

In the sixth match of the day, Chris Reddy took a 3-0 lead at the end of the first with a takedown and followed it up with another takedown to make it 6-0. He then finished the third period with a technical fall at the buzzer to bring the team score within one.

Konrad Parker started off his dual at the 174 with multiple takedowns to go up 12-3 by the end of the frame. Parker continued his dominance through the next two frames to earn Ithaca back-to-back tech fall finishes, to put the Bombers squad back ahead, 16-12.

In the 184 bout, Xavier Pommells earned a takedown in the first period and an escape, he then finished the match in the second with a pin for Ithaca. Ryan Galka followed that up with another in a highly contested match as he earned a 4-2 decision off a takedown and an escape.

In the final bout of the evening, Kamdyn Dorchester got a takedown at the end of the first for a 3-0 lead, followed by an escape in the second to make it 4-0. He added a couple more takedowns in the third to make it 11-1 for a major decision, finishing off the Bombers dual meet with a 29-12 team win.
