Ithaca Men’s Wrestling Improve to 5-5 with Win Over Oswego State

OSWEGO, N.Y. – In a tuneup before the SUNYAC Championships, the Ithaca College men's wrestling team put together a 40-9 dual win over Oswego State on Saturday afternoon. The Bombers showcased its depth across the lineup in their first conference dual victory of the season.

The Bombers jumped out to a fast start, building a 16–0 lead as Andrew Aparo and Isaias Torres each recorded pins, while George McAteer added a dominant technical fall at 133 pounds. Will Bentrim followed with a 9–4 decision over Donovan Rail to add three more team points for Ithaca.
 
Oswego got on the board at 157 pounds, where Steven Ventricelli secured a hard‑earned fall at 6:21 over Aaron Nelson. The Lakers continued to build momentum at 165, as Chris Reddy turned in a strong performance, earning a 13–3 major decision against David Hammerle. At 174, Max Casiano added another highlight, pinning Christopher Coleman in just 1:52.

Ithaca sealed the dual with wins in the final two bouts. At 197 pounds, Ryan Galka delivered a fall at 4:11, before Kamdyn Dorchester closed the night with a 15–2 major decision over Dustin Koskinen‑Falls.
 
The Bombers will next compete in the SUNYAC Championship hosted by SUNY Brockport on Saturday, January 24 at 9 a.m.
