ITHACA, N.Y. – D3hoops.com and the National Association of Basketball Coaches released their regional awards on March 18. Ithaca College men's basketball season Logan Wendell was named First Team District 3 by the NABC and was Second Team Region 3 for D3hoops.com, while head coach Waleed Farid was selected as Coach of the Year in Region 3 by D3hoops.com.

Wendell wraps up his distinguished career with two more postseason awards. This is his first career honor from the NABC, but he was a second team honoree by D3hoops.com last season. Wendell finished fifth all-time on Ithaca's scoring list with 1,574 points and was the Liberty League Championship Most Outstanding Performer as he guided the Bombers to their first conference title in five seasons.

This season, Wendell averaged 17.9 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 29 games played. He surpassed 20-plus points in 11 games this season, including a career-high 38 against Vassar on Feb. 22 where he went 13-for-20 from the floor.

Farid, now in his fourth season on South Hill, received his first career coach of the year honor. Ithaca went 19-10 this season and was the No. 2 seed in the Liberty League Tournament. The Bombers were picked to finish sixth in the preseason poll after a 12-13 campaign and missing the postseason in 2023-24. Wendell and Evan Cabral were named All-Liberty League, while Chris Leysath was selected as Rookie of the Year.

IC would go on to win its NCAA First Round contest against Stockton, 80-69, before falling to No. 19 WPI in the second round, 79-71.
