Men’s Basketball Rolls at Bard, 79-58

ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Ithaca College men's basketball team took on the Bard Raptors in a Liberty League matchup on Friday evening in the penultimate game of the 2025 regular season and the Bombers dominated the Raptors after 40 minutes, to come away with a 79-58 win. Ithaca moves to 15-9 overall and 12-5 in conference play and are now in sole possession of second place in the standings.

The first half started strong for the Bombers with early scores from Jaylon O'Neal and Evan Cabral, which put them up 8-0. Two easy layups for Bard got them on the board and made the score 10-5. Another quick three was drained by Cabral, but an and-1 opportunity for Bard shortly after, put them within six. With 10 minutes remaining in the first half the Bombers marinated a comfortable lead and started to spread the gap between them and the Raptors. A Cole Wissink three pointer going into halftime put the Bombers up by 16 (41-23).

The second half was similar to the first, starting off with two threes from Cabral and Logan Wendell (47-26). A few scores from the Raptors put them within 20 with 14 minutes left in the second half, however that run was short lived. An and-1 from Alex Penders and a steal and layup from Wissink kept the gap in double digits.

Contributions from Aidan Homles and Chris Leysath kept the Bombers dominating for the rest of the half. The 20-point differential also allowed for all the players to get in the game. The Bombers shot 33.3% from the three and had 11 different players with points on the board.

The Bombers will take on Vassar tomorrow at 4pm in the final Liberty League game of the regular season.
