GRATHAM, Pa. – The Ithaca College men's wrestling team took part in the annual Chocolate Duals in which are hosted on the campus of Messiah University on Saturday. It was the final event of the fall semester for the Bombers who began the day by taking on Case Western Reserve University where they dropped a 30-17 result. Ithaca would finish 0-3 on the day also falling to both host No. 19 Messiah and York College of Pennsylvania.
In the most recent NWCA Division III Dual Coaches Poll, Ithaca was slotted at No. 22 as they've perennially put together an outstanding dual scoring lineup under head coach
Marty Nichols.

Action began at 125 lbs. where the Bombers were able to get off to a hot start with
Cosmo Damiani scoring a 21-7 major decision over Tatsu Homma. Damiani scored a pair of takedowns in the first period and followed it up with another two and a near fall within the second before taking the bout with 30 seconds remaining. IC would then drop the next two bouts before
Will Bentrim took care of business with a 15-2 major decision over the Spartan's Dillon O'Keefe.
The Bombers trailed 18-8 as
Konrad Parker earned three team points at 174 lbs. with his 8-2 victory over Chase Crutchley. Parker wrestled for the first time since the NYS Collegiate Championships and delivered a pair of takedowns as well as an escape and the riding time point to earn the victory. However, Matthew Gummere earned the win over
Xavier Pommells after an injury default and IC forfeited at 197 as Case Western carried a 30-11 lead going into the final bout at heavyweight. Ithaca's
Charlie Turner was able to earn the win at 285 lbs. when he pinned Alexander Goldman in 1:51.

York would take the first three bouts at 125, 133 and 141, with two of those wins coming via bonus points. Ithaca would get on track when
Will Bentrim scored a 17-7 major decision over Jared Schaible to improve to 2-0 on the day. He was explosive within the first period earning a pair of takedowns along with a near fall.
Konrad Parker would also score his second win of the day when he took down the Spartans Mark Forry in a 19-4 tech fall where he would score in each period. The lone other Bomber victory would again come at heavyweight; this time
Kamdyn Dorchester earned the fall over David Pierson in 2:15.

In the lone nationally ranked dual, Ithaca jumped out to a 12-0 lead after winning the first three bouts.
Cosmo Damiani was able to pin Messiah's Austin Jeffrey in 1:20 at 125 lbs. and
George McAteer would take down Caiden Heller in a major decision. At 141 lbs.,
Isaias Torres had a tight bout with Jacob Cunningham who was ranked fourth in Region 3. Torres prevailed in a 7-4 decision as he scored the decisive takedown.
The Falcons would respond by scoring wins at 149, 157 and 165 that made it 16-12 in their favor.
Konrad Parker was able to then earn three more team points for IC with an 11-6 decision win over Andrew Koszubal at 174 lbs. Nate Kovalcik earned a win at 184 lbs. via forfeit. Tucker Seidel would then earn the technical fall at 197 lbs. after a takedown and 13 nearfall points in the first period, securing the 16-0 technical fall in 2:12 over
Eamon Callaghan. In the final bout of the day
Kamdyn Dorchester won 5-2 thanks to a late reversal over Micah Martinez as Dorchester also finished 2-0 on the day.
Next up, Ithaca College will return to action after the holiday break when they take on Vermont State University of Castleton in a dual in Albany, N.Y. slated for 10 a.m. on Sunday, January 4.
