Field Hockey Drops Regular Season Finale at No. 19 Haverford

HAVERFORD, Pa. - The Ithaca College field hockey team faced the nationally ranked No. 19 Haverford College Fords on Saturday, November 1 in the Bombers' regular season final and lost 2-0. Ithaca heads into postseason play with a 12-6 record.

The game started with the Bombers coming out strong, junior striker Toni Ierardi securing a corner within the first eight minutes. The game continued with the Ford and Bombers battling it out, the quarter ending scoreless.

Momentum shifted early in the second quarter when Haverford capitalized on a corner opportunity just two minutes in, putting them ahead and setting the tone for the remainder of the game. The Fords extended their lead in the third quarter, scoring again within four minutes.

Despite the deficit, the Bombers showed relentless determination in the fourth quarter. In the final seconds, they earned two penalty corners and pushed for a comeback, narrowly missing the mark.

Ithaca will now advance to postseason play, facing Union College in the Liberty League Semifinals on Friday, November 7th.
