ITHACA 3, SKIDMORE 0 (25-22, 25-20, 25-15)

The Bombers got off to a slow start, trailing 9-1 after an Angie Mozrall kill for the Thoroughbreds. However, Ithaca clawed its way back, tying the set at 18 points apiece following a 4-0 run. A Peyton Miller ace and a Gabriela Gonzalez-Abreu kill, assisted by Wesley Slavin, put the Bombers up 20-18. Ithaca pushed its lead to 23-21 with a Naomi Clauhs kill and won the set with Miller scoring the final point.

Skidmore also built an early lead in the second set at 3-1, but a service ace from Peyton Miller and an opponent attacking error saw IC take the lead at 4-3. The teams tied at six, eight, and 16 points apiece, but Ithaca built a three-point cushion following a service error and an ace from Slavin, making it 20-17 in favor of the Bombers. Ithaca closed out the set with successful swings from Josie Hampton and Faith Sabatier, along with a Thoroughbred bad set.

It was all IC in the third set as the visitors scored four straight points, including two kills from Brianna Owen, putting the team up 11-7. The run also featured a Josie Hampton ace, and the Bombers went up 22-11 following back-to-back kills from Faith Sabatier and Gabriela Gonzalez-Abreu. Hampton clinched the match for her team with another kill, assisted by Wesley Slavin.
