NEW PALTZ, N.Y. - The Ithaca College volleyball program won its third-straight to kick off the New Paltz Invitational with a bang winning in a quick three set match against the New Paltz Hawks.
VS. NEW PALTZ (25-23, 25-16, 25-14)
Ithaca College who improved to 8-3 overall gritted through the first set and ended up taking it by a 25-23 score.
The Bombers continued to control the flow of the entire second set, never allowing the Hawks to gain a single lead. Ithaca won the set 25-16 and confidently advanced to the third and final set of this match up. The final set mimicked the second, resulting in a 25-14 victory for the Bombers.
The Bombers dominated the entire game, accumulating a total of 23 kills, seven aces, eight blocks, 21 assists, and 32 digs. This strong performance totaled up to 35.0 points compared to the Hawks' 24.0.

"I thought we woke up just in time in the first set," Dulfer said. "We seemed to be a little tense and didn't make good decisions until we made some adjustments. Our serving was really strong today and that made the difference down the stretch"
The Bombers continue competing in the New Paltz Invitational tomorrow afternoon, facing RV (Receiving Votes) Williams College at 12:45 p.m. and will take on Manhattanville at 3 p.m.
