High School: Gonzalez-Abreu was a four year starting outside hitter for coach Elsa Lopez at Mater Academy Charter High School...She captained her team during her senior year...Her high school accolades included back-to-back Florida Class 6A Girls Volleyball State Championships (2020 and 2021), USA U-17 Girls Junior National Champion, was the Team MVP for Mater Academy in 2022 and earned Miami Herald's Miami Dade All-County Third Team.

Personal: Gabriela is currently enrolled in the Physical Therapy program at Ithaca College...She is the daughter of Peggy Gonzalez and Felix Abreu.
