A one-out single by
Louis Fabbo to left forced a pitching change for the Gulls as Cannata allowed one run on five hits and struck out four over 5.1 innings of work. Jordan Gottesman rolled over a 4-6-3 double play to end the inning.
Endicott went back ahead, 2-1, in the bottom of the sixth on a two-out solo home run to right by Nicolas Notarangelo.
The Gulls knocked Leyner out of the game after a lead off single in the bottom of the seventh inning. Leyner gave up three runs on five hits with two strikeouts in six-plus innings.
Matt Chase entered in relief and Endicott plated two runs on a safety squeeze and sacrifice fly to make it 4-1.
In the top of the eighth inning, Brawdy and
Gil Merod started the inning with walks.
Ethan Rothstein then doubled down the left field line to push home Brawdy and make it a 4-2 game. A groundout from Fabbo brought IC to within a run at 4-3 as Merod scored from third base.
Endicott loaded the bases in the bottom of the eighth inning on a single, hit by pitch an intentional walk with one out. IC made a change from Chase to
Garrett Bell and Endicott quickly cleared the bases on a passed ball and two-run single to center to extend the Gulls' lead to 7-3.
