CORTLAND, N.Y. - The Ithaca College men's track & field team made the short trip to Cortland on Saturday to compete in the Cortland Red Dragon Open.
Andy Frank won the 200-meter dash in a time of 21.90 seconds.
Patrick Bierach claimed the top spot in the steeplechase at 10:07.96.
Justin Showstead took the top spot in the javelin at 51.19 meters (167' 11") and in the shot put with a mark of 15.28 meters (50' 1.75"). He also competed in the hammer throw and placed third at 48.50 meters (159' 1").
Ithaca secured five of the top six positions in the pole vault as
Dom Mikula finished first overall at 4.91 meters (16' 1.25").
Callum Howald was second at 4.60 meters (15' 1"), while
Shaun Herlihy and
Brendan Sheehan both cleared 4.45 meters (14' 7.25") to place fourth and fifth.
Robert George finished in sixth at 4.30 meters (14' 1.25").
Rich Halvorsen was second in the javelin at 48.99 meters (160' 8").
Daniel Hutchinson was the runner-up in the high jump at 1.78 meters (5' 10") and was third in the long jump at 6.68 meters (21' 11").
The Bombers' 4x100-meter relay of Sam Panzer,
Theo Marston,
Ian Ertel and
Nicholas Reyes posted a time of 44.92 to come in third place.
Nathaniel Oczkowski took fifth in the 400-meter dash at 49.98 seconds and was sixth in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.00 seconds.
Adam Mocho was fourth in the steeplechase at 10:35.37 and
David Schurter was sixth in 11:21.24.
Alex Whatley placed sixth in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:58.14.
Tyler Scerbo placed sixth in the javelin at 42.09 meters (138' 1") and Hutchinson was sixth in the discus at 35.74 meters (117' 3"). Sheehan finished sixth in the high jump at 1.68 meters (5' 6"), while
Noah McKibben tied for seventh at 1.63 meters (5' 4.25").
