Men’s Track & Field Finishes Opening Day of Liberty League Championships

ROCHESTER, N.Y. –
The Ithaca College men's track & field team compiled 27 points on the first day of the Liberty League Indoor Championships at RIT on Friday and are currently in fifth place out of eight schools.

The Bombers picked up 10 points in the shot put as Luke Ellor was the runner-up with a top mark of 15.12 meters and Avery Sens placed seventh at 13.50 meters.

Evan Cherry was the runner-up in the long jump to claim eight points for IC as he measured out 6.97 meters.

Anik Vossschulte and Max Boreland will run in the 60-meter dash final tomorrow as they clocked prelim times of 7.00 and 7.02 seconds. Vossschulte finished fourth and Boreland was sixth.

Matt Lokshin posted a time of 8.56 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles to place fifth in the prelim and secure his spot in tomorrow's final. Lokshin also competed in the heptathlon is sits in fourth after the first day of competition with 2643 points, just 58 points behind first.

Raphael Campanile placed fifth in the pole vault as he cleared 4.66 meters, and Dylan Sullivan snagged a seventh place with a mark of 4.36 meters.

Ithaca's distance medley relay of Colin Lesher, Brad Kellogg, Luke Ferrer and Aidan Loughlin clocked a time of 11:06.26 to come in seventh.

Elliott Painting earned a point with an eighth place performance in the 5000-meter run as he finished in 15:20.12.
