RESULTS
BRIDGEWATER, Va. – The Ithaca College women's track & field team began its outdoor season on March 25 at the Dr. Harry G.M. Jopson Invitational at Bridgewater College.
Paloma De Monte won the 800-meter run in a time of 2:19.73 and
Jessica Goode prevailed in the 5000-meter run with a time of 19:21.96, to beat the next closest runner by over than a minute.
Ava Fowler and
Meredith Garrity earned second and third place showings in the 10000-meter run as they crossed in 38:38.12 and 40:21.03.
Natalie MacArthur took third in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:02.10, while
Katharine Downey was fifth at 1:02.57.
Logan Brasacchio finished the steeplechase with a time of 12:42.60 to finish in fifth place.
Rachel Larson was a fifth place runner in the 100-meter hurdles in 16.31 seconds and
Moriah Byrd placed eighth in 16.72 seconds.
Madison Martinez posted a time of 1:13.05 in the 400-meter hurdles to come in sixth, while Larson placed seventh in a time of 1:14.41.
Joy Petersen and
Julia Tomanovich went 7-8 in the 1500-meter run with times of 5:08.11 and 5:09.09, while
Rachel Rose posted a time of 2:30.49 to place ninth in the 800.
The 4x100-meter relay of Larson, MacArthur,
Tessa Stanley and
Cecelia LaBonte were runners-up in 53:08 seconds. The 4x4 'A' of MacArthur, Byrd, Larson and De Monte were also runners-up in 4:07.02, while the 'B' of Downey, Petersen, Stanley and LaBonte finished in fourth at 4:17.51.
IC also entered a 'C' team of Martinez, Tomanovich, Rose and
Giana Haubrich, who placed seventh in 4:34.85.
Byrd won the javelin with a throw of 35.74 meters,
Lily Seyfert claimed third at 35.31 meters and
Arla Davis was eighth at 28.50 meters.
Seyfert finished fourth in the shot put at 11.25 meters, while Davis took eighth with a mark of 10.73 meters.
Ayenaliz Velasquez took eighth in the long jump with a mark of 4.29 meters. Seyfert also finished eighth in the hammer throw with a heave of 36.97 meters.
