ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College women's track & field team split its squad between two meets as IC traveled to Boston University and RIT on February 10-11.
At Boston
Logan Bruce completed the 60-meter hurdles invitational with a time of 9.05, which was fourth among DIII runners. Bruce also placed third in the 60-meter dash in a time of 7.87. She would also enter the 200-meter dash and posted a time of 25.82.
Five Bombers ran in the 800, led by
Paloma De Monte, who finished in 2:15.43.
Joy Petersen clocked in at 2:21.07,
Rachel Rose posted a time of 2:21.16,
Jessica Goode crossed in 2:21.27 and
Emily Johnson recorded 2:24.21.
Five also competed in the 400 as
Natalie MacArthur was the first to finish for IC in 1:01.17, while
Luca Pecora ran a 1:01.45.
Devan Adegbile was next at 1:02.02, followed by
Tessa Stanley at 1:02.88 and
Katharine Downey with a time of 1:03.02.
Adegbile ran 26.66 in the 200, while
Moriah Byrd posted 26.92. Byrd finished the 60-meter hurdles in 10.02 and Pecora clocked in at 10.74.
Ava Fowler posted a time of 17:59.34 in the 5,000-meter run, while
Julia Tomanovich ran 18:44.91.
The Bombers ran the 4x400-meter relay as well and the group of MacArthur, Pecora, Johnson and Stanley ran 4:15.24.
At RIT
Cecelia LaBonte was a second place finisher in the 60 hurdles at 9.71, while
Rachel Larson finished sixth at 10.17. LaBonte was also the runner-up in the 200 at 27.98.
Kyla Eisman secured second in the 3000-meter run with a time of 11:06.75, while
Logan Brasacchio placed sixth in 11:19.25.
Giana Haubrich placed third in the 800 with a time of 2:31.41, while
Ayenaliz Velasquez took fourth in the 60 dash at 8.29.
The 4x4 group of Haubrich,
Rayna Wallens,
Carolina Cedraschi and
Hannah Martinez won in a time of 4:37.13.
IC took five of the top seven positions in the pole vault as
Meghan Matheny cleared 3.65 meters (11' 11.75") to place third.
Martha Kemp-Neilson and
Sara Altonen tied for fourth at 3.50 meters (11' 5.75"), while
Kennedey Heichel and
Jamie Rossig tied for sixth at 3.35 meters (10' 11.75").
Charly Slusser took fourth in the high jump with a clearance of 1.47 meters (4' 9.75"), while
Lily Seyfert was fifth in the shot put at 11.55 meters (37' 10.75").
Sara Brown placed sixth in the long jump with a mark of 5.37 meters (17' 7.5").
