TROY, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's swimming and diving program competed in the RPI Kumpf Invitational on Saturday afternoon as the Bombers racked up 530 team points to finish second amongst five teams.
The Bombers saw impressive performances in the 50-yard and 100-yard freestyles as
James Collishaw and
Ben Young finished first and second, respectively in both events. Collishaw won the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 21.65 and then followed it up with a 46.54 in the 100-yard event, which was almost two seconds faster than his teammate.
Matthew Johnston swam nearly six seconds faster than he did a week ago as he won the 200-yard backstroke with a recorded time of 1:53.33.
In diving action
Kian Long took home a first-place finish on the 3-meter board racking up a total score of 265.85. An additional highlight occurred in the final event of the invite with the Bombers winning the 400-yard freestyle relay.
