ITHACA, N.Y.– The Ithaca College women's tennis team completed day two of the Northeast ITA at Hamilton College on Saturday, September 24 with sophomore duo
Taylor Crain and
Lauren Rodriguez reaching the semifinal in the doubles consolation draw.
After a great first day in the main singles draw, Crain fell 6-4 and 6-3 to Rochester's Josephine Libby, who was the top seed in the draw.
Crain and Rodruiguez defeated SUNY Genseo's Kylie Seiler and Alex Galle 8-0 to move into the next round. In the next round, the duo won again over Hamilton's Shannon Cicero and Kate Solowey 8-4, advancing to the semifinal.
In the singles consolation draw, senior
Zoe Davis won her first match, 8-4, over Hamilton's Solowey. Davis lost in the next round, 8-5, to Union's Grace Nicol.
The Bombers wrapped up the fall portion of their schedule and will return to action on February 11 when they travel to Wilkes-Barre, Pa. for a dual match.
