Ithaca College senior
Dom Mikula was named the Liberty League Outdoor Track & Field Men's Field Performer of the Year for the third time (2021, 2019). He was also the Liberty League Rookie of the Year following the 2019 outdoor season. Mikula finished in fifth with a leap of 4.95 meters in the pole vault at the 2022 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships. He opened the championship at 4.65 meters and cleared the bar on his first try. He also cleared 4.80 meters on his first attempt before moving on to 4.90 meters, which Mikula cleared on his second attempt and secured his spot on the podium. He moved into the top five after clearing 4.95 meters on his third attempt to earn his fifth career All-America honor. Mikula was the Liberty League champion in pole vault for the third straight season; this time clearing 4.70 meters for the individual accolade at the 2022 outdoor conference championship.
For the second straight year, head coach
Jim Nichols and his staff was named the Liberty League Coaching Staff of the Year. Nichols and his assistant coaches guided the Ithaca men's track and field team to its its first outright Liberty League Outdoor Track & Field title after earning a share of the honors at last year's regionally split conference championship. This year, The Bombers compiled 211 points; building upon their day one lead of 17. Ithaca cruised to the team title and eclipsed second place Rochester by 29 points, thanks to eight individual wins and the Bombers' winning 4x100-meter relay squad. The team's individual accomplishments was highlighted by Nate Oczkowski, the Liberty League Track Performer of the Meet, who won three track events (400, 110-hurdles and 400-hurdles) and
Kevin Danaher, the Liberty League Field Performer of the Meet, who won a pair of field events (shot put, discus). The duo of Oczkowski and Danaher qualified for events at the 2022 NCAA Outdoor Championship along with teammates
Dom Mikula and
Luke Tobia. Ozkowski earned All-America honors in the 400-meter hurdles (6th) and Mikula was All-America in pole vault (5th).
