ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College women's volleyball team played its most competitive set in the third, but it was too little to late with the visiting Eagles from Juniata besting the home team 3-1 in Friday's third game of the Bomber Invitational.
Inside the Box Score
- The Bombers dropped the first two sets (13-25 and 15-25) before stringing together momentum with several good rallies to take the third set 25-21, but in the fourth set they couldn't get things going offensively and fell 11-25.
- Victoria Taylor paced all attackers with a match-high 17 kills on 31 attempts. Aly Reardon and Brianne Carmody also had double-digit kills for the Eagles with 12 and 11 apiece.
- It was the first game of the season for the No. 12 ranked Juniata College as the veteran squad will look to build off Friday's game in pair of matches against St. John Fisher and No. 6 Johns Hopkins on Saturday as part of the Bomber Invitational.
- Camryn O'Leary was the top hitter for IC as she tallied seven kills and first year setter Peyton Miller produced 14 assists.
