RESULTS
GENESEO, N.Y. – The nationally ranked No. 2 Ithaca College women's track & field team competed in their final meet before the Liberty League Championships next Saturday, as the Bombers traveled to SUNY Geneseo for a May Meet on May 1.
Katelyn Hutchison took top honors in the 200-meter dash at 24.93 seconds to move into ninth on the Division III list, while
Lindsay Scott prevailed in the 400-meter dash with a time of 59.34 seconds.
Logan Bruce was another first place finisher for IC as she won the 100-meter hurdles in 14.60 seconds.
Tia Jones won the 100-meter dash in 12.71 seconds, while
Sara Brown came in second at 12.94.
Katarina Gomez posted a time of 13.16 seconds to finish in fourth and
Ayenaliz Velasquez tied for sixth at 13.40.
IC's 4x100-meter relay of Brown, Gomez, Hutchison and Velasquez took the top spot in 49.35 seconds. The 4x400-meter relay team in the "fast section" of Gomez, Hutchison, Scott and
Maggie Nickerson were third in 3:52.28. The 'B' team in the 4x400 of
Sarah Lachenmayr,
Paloma De Monte,
Lauren Lobdell and
Rachel Rose took fourth in 4:01.00.
The 4x400-meter relay in the "open" event finish first as
Sophia Roy,
Julia Tomanovich,
Molly Sear and
Madison Martinez finished in 4:25.13.
Ithaca took the top four positions in the pole vault as
Sara Altonen and
Gwen Gisler each cleared 3.51 meters to finish 1-2.
Juliann Terry was third at 3.36 meters and Kennedy Heichel came in fourth at 2.91 meters.
Samantha Healy won the shot put at 12.40 meters, while
Ariyahna Bernard was second with a mark of 11.89 meters. Bernard would take first in the discus at 37.74 meters and Healy followed as the runner-up at 34.81 meters, while
Kalena Yearwood was fourth at 31.99 meters and
Liana Shames finished sixth with a mkar of 30.59 meters. Healy secured another first place showing in the hammer throw at 50.33 meters, while Bernard came in third at 45.95 meters, Shames came in fourth at 43.39 meters and Yearwood took fifth at 43.17 meters.
Madeline Adzigian claimed the top spot in the javelin at 35.75 meters, while
Abbey Stowell finished as the runner-up at 30.83 meters.
Nickerson was a runner-up in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:16.06, while
Parley Hannan came in fourth at 2:19.18. Lobdell was fifth at 2:23.20 and Rose finished sixth in 2:23.83.
Bruce also compete in the long jump and finished second overall (first among attached entries) with a leap of 5.32 meters, while Brown was fourth at 5.22 meters and
Julia Nomberg followed in sixth at 5.09 meters.
Molly Sear was a fifth place finisher in the triple jump at 10.57 meters, while
Katharine Downey was a sixth place finish in the 400 at 1:02.52.
The Liberty League Championships take place at the University of Rochester on May 8.
