ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College women's tennis team opened its 2021 season with a 7-2 Liberty League loss to Vassar College on Saturday on the courts inside Glazer Arena. Ithaca won a match at singles and doubles competition on the day.

All three doubles matches were tightly-contest on the afternoon, as Andrew and Dyszewski earned a point for IC at second doubles with an 8-7 win. First and third doubles dropped identical scores of 8-4 –
Zoe Davis and
Sara Steinberg paired up at first doubles, while
Caroline Herz and
Audry Johnson were at third doubles.
IC's lone point in singles play cam from
Rel Klein as the sixth flight with her triumph of 2-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-5 - tiebreak). All other singles matches ended in straight sets, but Herz (2-6-, 3-6), Davis (2-6, 3-6) and Dyszewski (4-6, 2-6) battled their opposition throughout.
Ithaca will host Cortland on April 7 at 4 p.m.
