No. 8 Women’s Track & Field Prevails at Rochester Triangular

ROCHESTER, N.Y. –
The nationally ranked No. 8 Ithaca College women's track & field team won its second meet in as many weeks, as the Bombers took top honors at the Rochester Triangular with 87 points at Fauver Stadium on Saturday. Rochester finished second with 71 points and RIT was third with 33 points.

Parley Hannan won the 1500-meter run in a school record and facility record time of 4:28.68. Hannan won in event in more than nine seconds, surpassed the facility time by more than four seconds and the school record by nearly a second. Both the school and facility record were set by Jenn Randall. It's also the fastest time in Division III this season.

Ithaca earned three of the top four spots in the 100-meter hurdles on the day. Logan Bruce won the event in 14.93 seconds, while Grace Clark followed in the runner-up position at 17.28 seconds and Abbey Stowell was fourth in 17.73 seconds.

Bruce was also the top finisher in the long jump at 5.73 meters, while Sara Brown was the runner-up at 5.32 meters.

Katelyn Hutchison won the 400-meter dash with a time of 57.34 seconds and prevailed in the 200-meter dash in 26.40 seconds. Sophia Roy and Giana Haubrich went 1-2 in the 800-meter run. Roy completed the race in 2:26.17 and Haubrich posted a time of 2:31.82.

The 4x100-meter relay team of Brown, Hutchison, Sarah Lachenmayr and Ayenaliz Velasquez posted a second place finish time of 50.73 seconds. IC's 4x400-meter relay squad of Lauren Lodbell, Maggie Nickerson, Rachel Rose and Lindsay Scott were the runners-up in 4:06.33.

Samantha Healy won the shot put at 11.61 meters and Moriah Byrd was second at 10.94 meters.

Healy and Ariyahna Bernard were second and third in the hammer throw with marks of 50.43 meters and 50.04 meters. The pole vaulters claimed three of the top four positions, led by Sara Altonen in second at 3.40 meters. Meghan Matheny finished in third at 3.40 meters and Julianna Terry was fourth at 3.25 meters.

Stowell was a runner-up in the javelin at 30.36 meters and Madeline Adzigian finished in third at 29.33 meters.

Bernard was a third place finisher in the discus at 36.02 meters, while Kalena Yearwood took fourth at 33.24 meters. Molly Sear posted a mark of 10.57 meters in the triple jump to finish third overall.

Lachenmayr secured third in the 100-meter dash in 13.23 seconds and Brown clocked in at 13.27 seconds for fourth place. Gabrielle Schlessinger cleared 1.41 meters in the high jump to come in third overall.

Nickerson and Scott earned points in the 1500 with third and fourth place finishes in times of 4:43.62 and 4:48.32. Lauren Rullo and Madison Martinez competed in the 400-meter hurdles and finished third and fourth. Rullo secured a time of 1:14.88 and Martinez finished in 1:16.02.

Julia Nomberg measured out 5.08 meters in the long jump to finish in fourth overall.

Ithaca heads back to Cortland for the second time this outdoor season on April 11.
